Hoornstra Training Aids in NATCO Readiness
NATCO Computer Technician Walter “Butch” Hoornstra
recently completed training to set up and implement software that
would mirror and replicate certain company data to a backup AS400
system. The training was through Vision Solutions of Irvine, Calif.,
and was held at Salt Lake City, Utah.
The seminar included basic terminology, an
overview of iTERA High Availability, and step-by-step instructions
essential to replication. NATCO Business Manager Steve Smith
said, “In the event of
a disaster, NATCO can rely on this machine to be a production server
at another location for all our needs to operate fully.”
Hoornstra recently joined NATCO after working independently in
the computer field locally for more than a dozen years.
NATCO is an independent family-owned and operated telephone company
providing telecommunications services in six exchanges: Bull Shoals,
Diamond City, Flippin, Lead Hill, Omaha, and Pyatt. NATCO Technologies,
a division of NATCO, provides Internet and satellite service to
residents of the Twin Lakes area, including southern Missouri.
