Audubon Adventures Grant Awarded A South Shore Foundation grant of $2,852 to the Audubon Society of North Central Arkansas will finance the "Audubon Adventures" kits in Bergman, Flippin, Lead Hill, Yellville-Summit, Omaha, and Bruno-Pyatt schools. More than 2,100 students from third to sixth grade will receive the kits. "Audubon Adventures is a tool to teach children the importance of taking care of our environment and all of nature within it," stated Marg Bangert, project chairman for the Audubon Society of North Central Arkansas. The classroom kits present basic, scientifically accurate facts about birds, wildlife, and their habitats. ASU-MH Receives South Shore Foundation Grant The VSCDC features a fully-equipped stage and auditorium for community use for conferences, concerts, exhibits and events. "The South Shore Foundation feels the facility greatly enhances the economy of north central Arkansas and improves the lifestyle of the citizens of this region. We are proud to continue to support the center," said Deanna Sullivan, South Shore Trustee. South Shore Foundation is the charitable arm of NATCO Communications, a locally-owned, independent telecommunications company celebrating over 60 years in the area. It is a nonprofit organization working to enhance the quality of life in the South Shore - Bull Shoals - Arkansas region.
