FACILITIES PLANNER
Join NATCO - Northern Arkansas Telephone Company in our pursuit to bring fiber optic broadband connectivity to some of the most rural areas of north central Arkansas! We are on a mission to transform the digital landscape of north-central Arkansas by extending the reach of fiber optic broadband to the most remote corners of our service area. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking an efficient and adaptable Facilities Planner to join our team.
The Facilities Planner will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to strategically expand our broadband network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a dynamic problem solver with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize fiber broadband projects.

Some of the regular and reoccurring responsibilities and expectations of a Facilities Planner at NATCO may include, but not be limited to:
- Identifying and documenting aerial and buried cable route extensions, upgrades and replacement activities;
- Drawing, reading, and understanding staking sheets, map, geographical survey map and circuit designs;
- Complying with Federal RUS specifications for work performed by outside contractors and engineers;
- Opening work orders for new construction and assigning the associated work order numbers for those builds;
- Compiling and verifying final plant information to submit to Accounting department at the close of a project for all work orders;
- Maintaining complete and accurate records including, but not limited to: exchange boundary maps, exchange maps, legal descriptions, and staking sheets;
- Assigning cable pairs in new cable and fiber strands for new plant;
- Utilizing CAD/GIS and Telecommunications Plant Assignment systems (Mapcom, NISC, and Calix);
- Understanding material and equipment involved in telephone operations to include copper, fiber and coaxial cable and their distribution design.
Qualifications and desired skills or experiences include:
- A working knowledge of all outside plant telephone design;
- Demonstrated analytical reasoning ability;
- Ability to communicate with customers effectively and professionally;
- A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or a combination of education and telephony experience in engineering is required.

The Plant Manager will be at the forefront of supervising, planning, and coordinating all outside plant construction, installation, and repair activities for both residential and business customers. Some of the regular and reoccurring responsibilities and expectations of a Plant Manager at NATCO may include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure work complete for all outside plant activities to include quality standard adherence and reporting;
- Perform quality control visits for construction, install and repair activities;
- Cross-coordinate with outside departments to ensure customer satisfaction;
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely and budget conscious completion;
- Maintain accurate records of budgets, schedules, equipment and materials used;
- Draw, read, and understand staking sheets, map, geographical survey map and circuit designs;
- Ensure compliance with Federal RUS specifications for work performed by outside plant employees and contractors;
- Understand material and equipment involved in telephone operations to include copper, fiber and coaxial cable and their distribution design;
- Display telecom/broadband technical expertise, project management skills, and a client-focused approach while staying updated with industry trends;
- Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions to include trending and root cause analysis.

PLANT DISPATCHER

As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Plant Dispatcher to join our team.
A vital cog in our operations process, the Plant Dispatcher will strategically and meticulously schedule in-field appointments for our technicians and customers. We are seeking a savvy coordinator with a knack for cultivating positive customer interactions and the ability to navigate the dynamic day-to-day challenges and demands of the broadband industry.

Some of the regular and reoccurring responsibilities and expectations of a Plant Dispatcher at NATCO may include, but not be limited to:
- Ensuring proper work assignments for all outside plant personnel;
- Coordinating Outside Plant schedule to ensure manpower available to meet the demands;
- Monitoring incoming service orders and trouble tickets and assigning to outside plant personnel and contractors with verification that steps required for the order have been met before scheduling with the customer;
- Coordinating with other departments and customers to complete work in a timely manner, while also maximizing effectiveness of the scheduling process;
- Monitoring and maintaining scheduling of incoming work;
- Prioritizing, organizing, scheduling, and reassigning tickets for installation, service, and repair to meet special requirements and urgencies;
- Verifying that proper technicians are assigned to tickets;
- Communicating with appropriate department regarding technician status;
- Updating the system to reflect the daily route progress;
- Monitoring voicemail and creating tickets as needed;
- Assisting Operations Department Executive Assistant in preparing documents for PSC reporting requirements, monthly internal plant reports, RPC lists, daily service order reports, and other reports as required;
- Maintaining an accurate history of all customer complaints regardless of whether trouble is found or not, working with Executive Assistant to provide weekly reporting;
- Maintaining an accurate history of all customer service orders for new, changes, and or disconnects, working with Executive Assistant to provide weekly reporting.
Qualifications and desired skills or experiences include:
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, especially in telephony;
- Extremely accurate data entry skills;
- Demonstrated organizational skills for organizing Engineering records;
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Demonstrated analytical reasoning ability;
- Effective and professional communication with customers;
- A high school diploma or GED;
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift to 50 lbs., and drive a vehicle.
